Eleven Hall Men who Served in World War II

By Stella Hall Zaleski

Along with Uncle Vern Hall, Nora Hall Lund and many others, cousin Stella, daughter of Merrill Hall was a history buff and wrote some interesting family stories.  I will attempt to post more of her writings as they come up.

For now we'll be content to try to read these image pages, since I'm not going to re-type all this.

From the looks of it, the boys from Utah were smart and were put to work.  Per Stella, on page 5, only Roland saw hand-to-hand combat as Willis got shot early on.  And of course, Wendell in running a bull-dozer over there.

And in 1942 Grandpa was required to register for the draft.  Imagine thinking you may have to go off to war when you're 50-years-old, you've still got kids at home, and you're watching your boys go to war.
